This hideaway is a haven for snorkeling enthusiasts, sun worshippers, and nature lovers alike. Our journey to Amed led us to the Bali Dream House, a sanctuary nestled amidst stunning views of volcanoes and sunsets that will steal your heart away.
A Culinary Adventure with a Local Flair
Our stay at Bali Dream House was nothing short of magical. The attentive staff went above and beyond to create unforgettable moments for us. One in particular took us from just enjoying a hotel stay to an amazing local experience. While lazing by the pool one afternoon, we watched as a fishing boat came in and tied up on the beach. Noticing our interest, the waiter on duty asked if we would like his help to buy a fish from the boat and offered to prepare it for us that evening. He helped to negotiate with the fisherman to purchase part of his fresh catch right from the ocean. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we watched in awe as he expertly cooked the fish over smoldering coconut husk coals in the hotel garden. The tantalizing aroma of Balinese spices filled the air, building our anticipation.
Once the fish was cooked to perfection, the staff served it to us alongside fragrant rice and a colorful array of Balinese vegetables. Every bite was an authentic explosion of flavors, a true reflection of the rich local flavours of Amed. The intimate setting under the starlit sky and thatched, gecko-filled ceiling made this meal an experience to remember—a perfect blend of tradition, hospitality, and cultural connection.
